How Many External Links creating / Day Looks Normal -

1) I think it should be less than or equal to the traffic to your website - For example if 1000 page views all time & you have 10 000 external link , it looks spammy .A natural link is normally created when a person stumble upon your website & likes it ,then he decides to place a link or a reader shares it in book marking sites or in other portals -
While you are building links ,consider your traffic too -

Also use the wide range keywords you find in traffic report as your anchor text ?

What is your Opinion ?

Google is not Omniscient they do not know all the traffic that every site gets. Natural has nothing to do with how fast you get links it has to do with the kinds of links you are getting

My opinion is that everything you said is completely wrong.

Google has no way of knowing your traffic or your advertising sources. I could be promoting a website all over TV and radio. That often can generate lots of links without search traffic. Google can only see your search traffic.

Exactly , another link velocity concern. Build your links at your will at a pace you are comfortable with. Stop worrying about google in this regard.

        Before Mike Jumps in ,

Traffic reports have been a great source to find keywords i optimize my sites for. I usually don't target a particular keyword while i am writing an article but i write it in flow. Later i discover , it starts getting traffic from a number of different primary and long tail keywords that are usually ranking at a distance of a couple of pages from page one and i take them as suggestions.

A little SEO and there they go to page one. One of the biggest advantage of this approach is that you get the early advantage of getting ranked for the terms growing in popularity and are being currently highly being searched for and thanks to google keyword tool (it shows the data almost a month later) you discover keywords that are really low in competition and high in searches.

Since you cannot really control that, are you putting up signs on your sites
with cautions about emailing you first so you can keep a running
total? Then you can put the brakes on anymore fools who link
to you after you reach your quota for the day. Well, you couldn't
really do that, now could you?

You need to come up with a workable punishment for those who
broke the rules and put you one link over...

Of course you could login to analytics weekly, and disavow the
same number of links you are over for that perfect average.

If your goal is 500 a day, and you login and see 3800 for the week,
you would then disavow 300, putting you back to that perfect
    average of 500 a day.

Of course you need to come up with a plan for those times when you
get only 2800 for the week. You gotta make up for those 700 that
    are short.

If you've read this far, I hope you realize I am kidding.

If you are still here, here is the last thought.

People retweet, email, and FB stuff all the time. They don't need to
actually visit a site to create a link...

And what if 100 people from the previous day decide TODAY to
link to you? Boom! Penalty, as your traffic today did not
    warrant so many backlinks...

I pity the reader who suffered through this whole reply...

    Paul

Just a few per day per keyword should be fine. Quality links of course
