Amazon review site - How broad

In a few months my Amazon site domain names expire which were affected by the april 24th Penguin update.

I need to make a decision on whether to buy new domains then move the content over or buy just one domain and put the content on one site.

When I asked this question a couple of months ago, people suggested to put the content on one domain instead of having seperate domains, but Yukon recently said that having unrelated niches on the same site is bad for both traffic & SEO.

Google SERPs is based on relevancy, toasters & watches don't mix.
As many of my niches are unrelated, would it be a bad idea to have the reviews on one domain??

    go ahead for the same type of niches..
    like if you're doing something in iphone niche.. you can include ipad as well..

    if you're in clothes.. then you can include shoes, accessories etc..

    I recommended that you diversify them into three sites. Pick your top 3 and if something doesn't fit can it for now. But why are you buying new domains, are the ones you have now bad?

      My sites were affected in the penguin update. The drop in rankings was big so they aren't on the top 10 pages in the SERPs so keeping the same domains doesn't seem like a good decision.

      What reason do you say pick three sites? In what way is that better than having just one site?

    I collected content from a number of micro niche product review sites and amalgamated into one new site with a brand domain. I've seen positive results in Google SERPs in the last three weeks as I've added to the content and only used social bookmarking/social media for back links. No Web 2.0 this time, apart from Squidoo and no 301 redirects from the old sites as some of them may have been penalized.

    The content is diverse and made up of product reviews across a variety of products. I've also used a silo structure. Personally, I only have time now to update one site as I was spreading myself too thinly across a number of sites. Therefore I recommend just one site with lots of great content.

    I agree with Yukon, but you could always create categories that become your entrance pages i.e. if you are reviewing power tools and painting tools, they could sit under 'DIY' which would be your entry page for traffic. You could then add a 'Kitchen' category which would then link to your microwave, kettle and dishwasher reviews (for example). You would then back link to and promote your DIY and Kitchen pages.

    be logical about it, there are plenty of products in 1 niche that you don't need to have a site with many niches,
    you can have accessories site which would be with watches, jewelry, bags etc
    but you wouldnt include furniture on there.

    If the niches are not relatable in any way then you would be best keeping them separate. People dont go to IKEA to buy laptops

    but laptops can be sold with screens, tv, home stereo etc

    The reason sites like Amazon get away with having a wide variety of products is because each product/category has thousands of pages to support itself.

    Also notice how amazon is very focused in their left sidebar, example go to Amazon & do a search on their site for toaster, then look at the left Amazon sidebar (laser focused internal site structure).

    You wont find a men's watch even remotely associated/linked in the toaster category.

    It's a lot easier to stay laser focused on a single niche (for traffic & SEO), than having random categories on a single domain.

    i also have an amazon store which is not doing well now.. i am wondering if you can help me how to improve and earn from here.. cuz my niche is beauty products.. and i know lots of people are buying from this niche..
