Twitter links appear dofollow

Hi guys, have a short question. I am just getting to know Twitter's options. I submitted my link as a tweet for a test and it appears dofollow, which is fine but i have a question about this.

The link itself looks OK but when i put the mouse over the link /without clicking on it/ and look at the left bottom of the browser i see a shortened link, means Twitter automatically shortens the link no matter the tweet looks as full link on the wall.

Question is - is my link still dofollow and worthy in this meaning or once it is shortened, it doesn't really count as dofollow backlink pointing to my website?
Thank you

    Hi,

What you need to establish is what type of redirect is being used.

Install live http headers for firefox, open it up and then click on the link.

Then scroll to the top of log window and read through whats happening and it will tell you whether it was a 301 or 302 redirect etc

    If it's a 301 - your good to go!

Before all - very happy to have your answer, i subscribed to your Youtube channel and all i can say is your videos are awesome.
About the answer, eventually i will have to ask someone in my place because once i download the add-on, it tells me to restart Mozilla. I do it. Then i can not find the add-on in the tool bar so i can open it and "click on the link" as you describe? Maybe it has a different name in the toolbar? The only thing close to this is "Server Headers"?
