Hi

My website (meezer com) dropped out of google on Sept 29th with no warning.
I filed a reconsideration request and received the following message:

We've reviewed your site and found no manual actions by the web spam team that might affect your site's ranking in Google. There's no need to file a reconsideration request for your site because any ranking issues that you may be experiencing are not related to a manual action taken by the web spam team.

I am raking top ten for lots of keywords at Yahoo and Bing, and used to rank well at Google.

What could be the issue?

Thank you

A Panda Update rolled out around that period.

A few spot checks on the site shows that you just use the same product descriptions that everybody else uses. That would be fine if you weren't depending on Google traffic.

Figure out a way to set yourself apart.

The possible reason for the sudden drop of your keyword ranking is the quality of your content. If your site is of inferior quality, then it must have been hit or affected by Google Panda update which reduces the rankings of low-quality content. Or, there could be other factors that have affected your site. Give it more time and see if it goes up again in the page ranking. Just hang in there and adapt accordingly.

I only have around %50 of my product descriptions to be duplicate. Will this cause everything to drop off Google?

I am working on removing the duplicate text.

    thank you all

the simple answer is google update, every day these guys are updating their algorithm.

and one thing you should always take note of is that even if you optimize your site complying google rules, your site ranking can still be affected. because a robot is always a robot, and it make mistakes most of the time. that's why sometime you see your website ranking dropping here and then without any reason.

the best thing is to build as many sites as you can as a backup.
