It depends on how much you know about SEO yourself. You can get by doing all the SEO for your sites by yourself if you're well versed on the fundamentals and have money to spend. There's advantages to both sides.

If you're asking this because you are trying to decide what to do concerning your own sites then I would recommend doing SEO by yourself until you are really comfortable with your skillset. That's where outsourcing will make expansion much easier. But if you don't know what kinds of SEO services are going to yield the best results for you then spending money on outsourcing could be a big waste of money.

There are a lot of good services out there but there are also a lot of bad ones. I just think one should know the architecture of lucrative SEO before they go ahead spending all kinds of money trying to get others to rank their keywords for them.

I agree with MRamocsai. If you are going to outsource, you need to be careful because there are bad SEO companies out there dealing in black hat SEO.

You also need to be careful yourself not to read the wrong things about SEO that are outdated because black hat used to work and clearly does not now. SEO is also very time consuming and you need to workout how valuable is your time. If your time is more valuable than the investment for SEO then I would advise that you outsource. If you outsource then look for a company that will give you many references to call so they can prove their results. Also it's a good idea to find a company that can offer other online marketing advise to help your business grow. Also don't get caught up in contracts with SEO companies because these companies are trying to trap you. I hope this was helpful and if you do decide to outsource, please don't hesitate to check us out below.

      Thanks,
      Neil
