I bought a mobile wordpress theme for around $60
And I did place two adsense blocks:
200*200 (Image/Text) on right sidebar.
480*60 (Text) inside posts between title and content.

The CTR is too low, less than 1%.
What should I do?
#ctr #increase

If the website is targeted to mobile users, maybe the right sidebar it's not such a good idea because of the screen size on these devices. Is the CTR below the title of the post also low?

Anyway, besides that, there are many factors that could be affecting your CTR, you could start by reading some experiences by other users, here are a couple of searches related to your query:

Hope you find some useful data!

You have to do some testing.

Place the ads where they are for a week or so and track conversions, then move them and track again.

    Also try different colour blending.

If you are getting unrelated ads then your conversions are going to be low.

Don't be greedy and have too many Adsense ads as you have a chance to get hit by the ATF update by Google.

I will say with experience that you aren't going to get something crazy like 50% CTR. I only get around 3 - 4%

My favorite way is to literally trick my website visitors into clicking on the ad. Sounds harsh, but it works wonders.

Whatever the main color of your website theme is, make the ad the same color. So if your site background was white, then create a white ad. And for a blue background, the ad would be blue, etc.

Make sure you place the ad near the top of your site, where your site menu is (I place mine directly under the site menu). Also make sure that you use only text ads for this, since there will be text on the site menu as well.

Last, match up your site text with the text of the ad, so that it is the same font and roughly the same size.

Generally speaking, you want the ad to look identical to what you would see on your site menu. Hope this helps!

You might want to check out IntelliTheme. (Full disclosure...this is our new product)

IntelliTheme will rotate through different looks/layouts while tracking the CTR from each different look the visitor sees. Over time, you can review the CTR from each layout and then select the one that's performing the best. In fact, you can even split it up 70%/30%, 60%/20%/20%...so that you're leaning towards the layout that's performing the best.
