Hi, during some recent searches for christmas shopping i noticed a lot of very similar sites high on google for various terms relating to primark and other shop names and products they sell. They mostly seem to have ebay affiliate content but not much else, which makes me wonder how they are getting ranked so high ?

one example is Primark Christmas Mens Womens Jumper Novelty Sweater Winter Uk Xs S M L Xl Xxl - Clothing - Shopping.com UK

the buy it now links seem to show a link on their website that is redirected to ebay ? is that correct ?

are they using cloaked links ? (which i have heard shouldnt be used ?)

I guess you didn't notice that shopping.com is
    an Ebay company...

Ebay is one of those online empires, like amazon, that has
a slew of websites to funnel traffic.

Shopping.com is being used to funnel to ebay, and probably
    vice versa.

And if you also notice a reference to dealtime.com, well, that's
what shopping.com was, but still uses dealtime.com.

What do I think? I think these companies use a huge internet
footprint to make even more money.

I am trying to do the same.

    Ebay, shopping.com, dealtime,...aint life grand?

Thanks Paul, I am thinking of trying a similar idea, more targeted though as havent got their resources to make thousands of pages.

I just thought overly commercial sites without much other unique content such as these normally get penalised by google these days ?

Off topic a bit, I didn't know Ebay owns 49% of Magento.
