In all kinds of website, you have to do On-Page simple steps.

A. On-Page SEO
Content - you should have a nice, decent, relevant content with quality. So visitors will be attached for more than a minute or so. You must also do some keyword research per page of the website. Use the right keywords and key phases that are suitable for the website. You must know how visitors will connect on your website and if they are spending enough time or just "bounce" quickly. Fresh pages and topics will help you attract visitors.

HTML - You have to make sure that title tags contain keywords relevant on the site or page. Check if the Meta description tags described each page properly. Does the website contain header tags with the relevant keywords?

Architecture - The site can be crawled by search engine easily. It's also important to have your website a good speed or most commonly called page load time. URLs should be short and contain meaningful keyword related to the page topic.

Then proceed to Off-Page SEO. [These steps may vary depending on the niche you are targeting.]

B. Off-Page SEO
Links - links on your website should be coming from trusted, quality, and reputable sites. Links pointing to your website should contain the exact words that a usual visitors type on search engine. (You can search about that at AdWords) Number of links pointing to your site matters to, anyway you can earn it through correct link building.

Social - These social media sites must be able to share your content and seen by huge potential visitors. It's much better if the social media users will be retweeting, sharing, repining your content. The more they do, it gets viral.

Trust - Do those links, shares and other factors make your site a trusted authority? If not, you should make this right. Create links with domains that have been online for more than three-five years.

Personal - Target your visitors, if your target is local then search them on some popular local sites. If international, visit international groups on this site and build foundation with fellow members. Make them trust you and help them in any way you can. Like on here on forum sites, the more you have experience, the more they trust you.

I don't agree on SEO works that just simply planting their links and then leave. Think about this, relationship with consumers is much more important than any links you can have. Reputation matters on social media also. So you have to take cautions on using it.

I hope I helped you guys on that way.

Off page SEO generally refers to all external link building and link acquisition efforts to gain overall popularity or reputation on the internet. Businesses sometime place all focus on only optimizing a website without realizing that external activity is just as important, if not more important. While on page optimization is still very important for setting up the foundation, it still only accounts for 20 – 30% of SEO work. Off page SEO can account for as much as 70 – 80%!

In simple way On-page are those factor which directly is related to the websites like its content, URL,Title, Keyword etc.
So on-page SEO means optimizing these thing so that they can get good result becasue until and unless On-page factor are npot perfect site can not get top positon.

Site Speed is one of the important factor of seo that can't be ignored.
If your site has low speed then bounce rate of your site will increased and you will loose your potential customers.

I agree. After the recent Google updates, SEO is now in the world where you need to gain reputation and trust from real users.

We need to interact to possible customers before we can trade. No matter how good you are in SEO but still uses the old techniques, all efforts will be wasted.

On-site SEO is exactly what it sounds like, SEO that can be done on your site without exterior elements.off-site SEO is equally as self-explanatory; it deals with all the elements of SEO-based marketing that are done outside of your site.

On Page and Off Page SEO used different strategies to help increase your website rank in search results. On Page SEO relies on the website content while Off Page SEO is responsible for spreading the word about your content. Both of these attract traffic to your website but they both have different strengths and weaknesses.
