Hello Warriors,
I have a website providing SEO services and it ranks for some very high traffic and competitive keywords. I have been getting contact forms weekly from new SEO clients. But there is a problem that happens routinely, I get the usual email asking for help with their site and how long it will take. I always respond the to their emails within an hour and almost always they never respond. I wait and wait for them to reply and they never do. I send emails again about a week later and still no reply. These aren't spam leads either, they are usually with a site with an email address at their domain name such as john@yoursite. This happens to me 75 percent of the time. My question is why would somebody be looking for services and contact SEO companies and never respond to their replies?

What are you putting in your reply?

Also, do you send a lot of emails out from your domain? Might be getting flagged as spam.

There are also times that people make an inquiry just to scout information and may use it for their own. My advice is do not give all the details that they might just do it in their own instead of availing to your service.

Yes, unfortunately there are a lot of copycats and spammers in SEO. A 25% response rate, even after them emailing you first, actually isn't that bad.

Do you have pricing advertised on the site? Are you selling link building "packages"?

If the site or business is giving you more headaches than profit, I'd be interested in taking a look at the site and making an offer if you're interested in selling. It's just a thought, if you're interested shoot me a PM.

People send the emails to some companies(there are so many search engines, they can find so many companies) and choose a company to work with a good offer.Be ahead from your competitors!

Perhaps they found a better company and they just don't reply to you. I've met many customers like this
