Showing ads based on browser history is stupid in my opinion...

Don't get me wrong. I am sure Google has split tested the heck out of this process and I am sure that this makes us all more money (LOL) but I just prefer to see ads based around the content as opposed to what you "were" looking at.

What do you guys and gals think?

    Yes, When my wife completes her browsing turn, all i get to see is ads of cosmetics. Did the Google people miss out a few things? or have they taken their chances?

    well showing ads based on browser history actually that makes sense

    for example, if you searched online for shoes before, it makes sense for them to show you ads about shoes. Which in theory would have a high percentage of getting clicked.

      Yeah. It does make sense from that viewpoint.

      I am sure the psychology of a "follow-up" temptation is definitely founded on real data.

      I have heard that we need to see something seven times on the average before we take the plunge.

      I am sure this is along those lines.
