Hello members,

I have a question about Chitika. I recently put Chitika ads on my blog, but haven't made any money yet. I'm new with ads. What kind of ads format works best and where exactly should I put these on my blog. I also heard that when your traffic is under 10.000 unique visitors, you not going to get much out of it. Is this true? What other options are there besides Chitika, especially for beginning bloggers?

Thanks for your help in advance,

With friendly greetings,
Orangelight

Earnings at Chitika are unpredictable. I once used it, earned a few cents one day and the next day when I checked my account back, the earnings were $0. It is correct that you should get unique and large traffic to get success with Chitika. The ad format, which is best for Chitika according to me, is banner ads.

To make money from Chikita your site needs to be receiving tons of traffic daily, ad sense has always been far better than any of these ad network sites.

Experimenting with the different ads format should give you an idea of really works and convert well.

Hey there! My name is Sarah and I am a customer support rep here at Chitika.

We have recently released Chitika Apps, which now includes 3 new types of ad units. Chitika Linx, our in-text ads, was released this past week. Publishers are reporting up to a 20% increase in revenue after implementing Chitika apps. One thing to keep in mind is that you need to be running Chitika ads on a page where you would like the new ads to show, as all you do is check a box in your account to enable them.

You can try using other ad networks so you can see for yourself which works and which one does not.
You might as well try the following.
    DoubleClick
    Yahoo! Publisher Network
    Zedo
    Clicksor
    Guardian Select
    Tribal Fusion
    Ero Advertising
    AdMagnet
    Infolinks
    SekiNdo

Unless you're getting a ton of traffic you're not going to make anything with those ads. Get ready for 2 cent clicks. This is even worse if you have a product of decent value you're trying to push onto your visitors. In exchange for that possible sale you get a nice and handy 2 cent click going to someone else's site. But of course that's not the case for you, right?
