Look on the adsense in the sidebar of PostLoop Payment Proof

How are they doing that?!

The ads are headlines only, and when you float over them, they expand to the usual listings - how is squidoo accomplishing that???

(it is my lens if you wanna like it But seriously, I just want to know how they are getting those special ads and how I can do the same for myself)

    I'm trying to get one now, it has changed to image or normal ads though :/

    It was exactly like the leaderboard of that size you see there, but straight headlines. When I hovered over them, they "expanded" in a smooth animation and revealed the rest of the ad (text and url).

    They also get those cool ad sizes like the ones at the top of ever article.

    It's like an invite only thing from adsense. You need to have a great site with a whole heap of traffic.

    Sites like ezine, squidoo etc...they all got em.

      That appears to solve it, it sucks (can't use them ourselves), but that solves it. I plan to make my site revenue sharing and to be sort of like a more condensed squidoo "one day" (we all know how hard that can be), giving revenue sharing and stuff (think DP forums rev share + submitted posts revshare), so maybe one day I can get this special treatment from adsense. Because as you mentioned, the ones at the top are also unique. Those animated ones really blew my mind though!

        If you are looking @ revshare in wordpress.

        WPMU.org have some solutions.

        But honestly I think it will take a fair bit of programming by either yourself (or hiring someone else) to get it right.

        Wordpress multi site would be the way to go though...(pretty sure that's what squidoo is based off of).

        Also, wpmu.org annoys the heck out of me.

    I can't see that effect either. Perhaps it's only on certain ads which would be country based and is the reason why some of us can't see them.

    There also is the fact that some of the bigger publishers do get certain perks and privileges that the smaller ones do not.

    Hey BrianDouglas - catching up on my WF learnings and saw your post. I can't share any knowledge re your Q but I did check your site and just wanted to share a headsup. I could be wrong but just in case.... I see 5 Adsense ads on your site running simultaneously. Careful friend. This is in serious breach of Google Adsense policy of max 3 on one page - plus text unit link boxes.

    Check it to be safe - don't get banned.

      Hey, thanks, didn't see this until now. I don't see 5, can you show me a link to check specifically? Thanks again, I don't really trust the insert adsense plugin I am currently using, it may be to blame, I'm seeing only 3 though.
