Is there any relation between page rank & keywords

Hello,
I launched a new website last month. I did some basic SEO & link building, not much.
But yesterday i was surprised to see my site getting "PR2". I honestly can't believe it.
Although the site has gained PR2, it does not appear in first 5 pages of google for any of the keywords which makes me think if there is any relationship between PR and keywords at all?
Any help in this matter would help.
