How can I get this site ranking on Google again?

I recently bought a site on here that had been affected by one of the recent Google updates and I am wondering how I can get it ranking good on Google again. When I got the site it had in text links that I have already disabled which I think was one of the reasons it was affected by the recent updates. What can I do to get it ranking good again.

    Sorry but how is someone supposed to answer your question? We have no idea about your site, your on-site optimization , when ranks dropped , what type of penality you got (if you got one) , your backlinks profile etc etc.

    Homever if the site is badly penalized then the best thing to do is to buy an aged domain and start over. You save your {time|money|nerves} this way.
