What Would You Do With 3 Screwed EMD's?

Hi Folks
just wondered what I can do with 3 EMD blogs that have been smacked by Google about 3 or 4 months back. I've just really gotten round to thinking about what to do with them as the domains are shortly due for renewal.

They weren't making a fortune because they were very niche but were making occasional sales while they were on page 1 but now alas they are in cyberheaven.

I worked very hard on them and all the content is my own original wording but I just do not have the fight in me to try and ressurect them from the ashes. I think they were probably hit for anchor text by Penguin.

So what would you do with them? My gut feeling is to salvage all the content and put it all onto one site and try going the 'authority' route rather than niche.

Any ideas or thoughts would be much appreciated. There are about 30 original articles for me to go at.

Thanks

If the sites are really good just dilute the EMD anchor text until your site 'pops back in.'

If you don't feel like doing that, just move the content to a new domain. I would probably go with this option.

If they in fact got hit by the EMD update then putting them on another domain won't help. It happened for a reason so you could just go through them article by article and rework them to rank again which shouldn't be too big a deal if you just do it in your spare time.

Another option could be to do what I'm doing and use them as test sites to see what is working and what doesn't work.

So you reckon that the articles are screwed too? I can see that maybe some of my offsite SEO turned out to be a bit dubious (it wasn't at the time I did it) but would this also affect my articles too?

It was the domain that was penalized and not the articles.

When my site dropped all my articles did too. It was the whole site collectively....if it were the site alone and my articles still ranked then I would have been pretty happy but the way I setup my site structure was the problem. In my case it was really ranking great cause of the EMD without much backlinking.

You can actually 301 your site over to a new domain and recover your ranking until the Penguin/Panda/Polar Bear (or whatever animal) filter is applied again.

I would look into saving the content and moving to a new site and taking a new approach to your link building.

You know the level of effort involved in getting it ranked.

If you really are done with it and think it's too much a hassle let me know via PM and I might be able to buy them off you.
