After speaking to some full time IMers it seems like PPC is the way to go if you want to rocket propel your business and income.

I decided to do some research tonight, reading through a ton of threads it seems like you get back exactly what you paid in. $300 campaign = $600 in sales

For those of you with experience how true is this, I am guessing this takes a lot of testing and you will have to spend a ton on tests before you break even?

Just trying to rap my head round things at the minute. Thanks in advance!

    > I wouldn't say you have to "spend a ton" but you do have to test, test, test!!
Eventually your testing will result in the ideal situation of "$300 campaign = $600 in sales."

I wish you well my friend!

    Thanks Jerry!

I thought that was the case. Plenty of testing to find that formula.

When you find that formula, that will be relative to the niche/website right? So every time you do a new campaign you need to test to find the new formula?

    Thanks for the encouragement

Yes, if you're starting a new campaign in new niche/website, than you'll need to test
      the "moving parts."

Ex: Test different ads, headlines, images, landing pages, copy, offers, etc.

I don't think "the formula" changes because you'll be testing the same things over
and over again and that becomes your "formula."

$300 in campaigns does not equal double money. PPC is a skill set just like SEO. Its a process of targeting the right keywords, setting up separate campaigns, tracking the individual results and then eliminating the non performers. The most important process is your preselling page. There have been countless stories of people losing their shirt with ppc. If it was put in $300 and get $600 don't you think every marketer online would just be depositing $300?

I am well aware that you dont just get results like that, thats why I asked about testing and how much you put in before you even break even. I just wanted to see what kind of results others had come out with, success stories or failures alike it would be interesting to hear back

ppc has been my lifeblood for over 5 years

start with lynda.com's adwords video series (beginners)

continue to Perry Marshall's Definite Guide (essential)

finish with Brad Geddes Advance Guide (pros)

make sure you dont just read and implement AS you are going through these products

once you are decent with ppc alot of other avenues open for you

Definitely takes a lot of practice and research to develop skills with PPC, like anything else. So $300 can make back $0, $600, or $6,000. It all depends on how you do it.

I am not sure how you got that figure. I have setup numerous campaigns and till date can never tell how a campaign will go or convert.

Btw I can setup your campaign for free. Just wanted to do a couple of free setups on warriorforum.
