Is there such thing as bad URL structure?

I'm wondering if I've overdone trying to SEO my URL structure. Below is the URL to a landing page i'm working on. What i'd like to rank for is "makeup artist" and I am in the LA area. This particular page, as you can imagine pertains to my doing hair and makeup for weddings. Thoughts?

Elite Makeup Designs | Los Angeles Makeup Artist | Wedding Makeup Artist

Well, in my opinion that URL is a bit stuffed with keywords, especially since you got an EMD as well? Also, seems like there is one level too much in there
    (domain.com/level1/level2) or am I mistaken?

Take out meta keywords on all pages.

Your urls are way to long, not to mention ridiculously stuffed.

When you hyperlink your website-only hyperlink the single tail keyword you want to rank for for that page...homepage is for overall/broad keywords..individual subpages for longer tail keywords..not every keyword you can fit in a hyperlink.

So the "stuffing" is likely hurting me? I'd be better off on making it just domain.com/services/nameofservice ?

You mentioned take out meta keywords on all pages. I put in a long list (and the same) list of meta keywords on EVERY page and every post. Is that hurting me?

        I REALLY appreciate the advice.

          Hi,

          This is correct, do domain.com/services/name-of-service

As for the Meta Keywords, do a max of 5 (they don't help, but they don't hurt UNLESS you are stuffing it full which is just another indicator of spam to the spiders).

OK. Thanks for the advice! I've disabled AllInOneSEO in the meantime since I had the same meta-tags on every page and post, as well as the same descriptions for each page.

As for the descriptions, I'm assuming these all need to be unique as well?

I'm sorry EMD? (EMD means Elite Makeup Designs to me )

It is two levels--- I have a page for "Services", then under that service there is the wedding component.

      Is that hurting me?

Sorry for the confusion, EMD = exact match domain, meaning it contains your target keyword. So you already have your keyword in the domain and then in the rest of the URL slug...Can't say for sure if your particular set up is going to hurt you but it does look stuffed and that is never good.

If I were you I'd focus more on local search. Google places, yelp, yellowpages, etc

Can you expand on what you mean? You mean registering/optimizing my presence on those sites?

I would prefer to concentrate only the relevant meta keywords on individual pages and not use the same long list on all the pages. That is just my own opinion.
