My blog is a PR3, how good is a PR3?

My blogs 3 months old, posting content every 2 days or so, guest posting a fair bit and just added Facebook and twitter fan pages.

Just interested about what you think of a PR3?

Thanks

People focus too much on PR. There are so many factors that go into a website's rankings and how high it'll rank for a certain term.

If your backlinks are from relevant and high quality sources, then yes, your PR3 is good. If they're not, I don't imagine that PR3 rank lasting very long when the next couple of updates roll out for Google.

    What's your traffic like?

Do the readers like your content or do they bounce a lot?

I have been doing a lot of guest posting on high authority sites. The last site 4 sites i have guest posted on have a PR4-3-3-3

I only guest post on relevant sites. I made the mistake of building stupid links on my last website. I learnt my lesson from that.

Sounds like you have a shot then, like another poster said, it doesnt matter what your PR is..take it with a grain of salt. Now if you were N/A for a year then I'd definitely think something was wrong. PR 3 is good, but make sure you arent getting that PR from spamming the web--it wont last long if thats the case.

I'm not! BUT I have found a number of sites stealing my content and linking to me is this bad?

I have now put a protector on my site so nobody can copy and past.

One of my sites was PR 4 and I was selling text link ads for $280 month. Then google slapped me. Tip: Don't put on your site what PR you are when advertising. Google is mean.

Yes they are all in the same niche but I thought it was bad if content gets thrown about the web?

No, not at all. You wouldn't want it appearing on hundreds and hundreds of trashy sites like article directories, so it looks like "automated backlink building" but apart from that risk, in that case, there's no downside. If they're all in your niche and have given you a backlink, I wouldn't worry - those are good backlinks. You might even get direct traffic from them.

(You can always serve a DMCA notice on their host if you don't want it published there, and it's "stolen content", but I wouldn't, really).

Yeh I understand. I am fairly new to blogging but not Internet marketing. I have had 3 websites and they all failed because I was being taught all the wrong methods of link building, marketing and so on.

    On a scale of 1 to 10, i'd give a PR3 site a 3.

PR-3 is good enough. I would suggest you to share your blog and the posts on Twitter Google+, etc. sites. Try to increase the authority of your website. Also add unique content frequently and do proper internal linking.
