To be clear,

Google bot crawls a webpage. We know that. But initially where it starts from. I mean there are particular parts in any webpage like header, body, footer etc., right!!

So when Google bot is crawling the website, where it starts from?

Most software reads top to bottom, left to right.

    To answer your question, header.

    Why are you asking?

Googlebot sees the whole document, top to bottom. Do a "Fetch as Google" in Webmaster Tools.

If what you're trying to ask is whether links appearing higher up in the document may be given more weight or crawl priority ..then the answer is yes.

I don't know if this is right place to ask this but here I go.

As everyone knows, there is section in page html code for keywords, below meta description label. What I want to ask is, is it in anyway beneficial entering your keywords there? Does it help improve keyword ranking?

What i can say is, Google doesn't consider meta keywords tag. But the other search engines like yahoo and Bing are still considering. So it will be helpful in those search engines to rank keywords.
