I have some confusion regarding cache pages of my website. As far as I know the Google cache is created when the crawler comes to a website and index it in its database. And if the crawler crawls one of my webpage then it will automatically crawl all of the other pages. But in my case every web page of my website is showing a different cache date and time. So please help me to understand the reason behind. Thanks in advance.

Simple answer: they were probably crawled at different dates or at least the ones in the Google index were.

Also Google doesn't necessarily crawl all the pages of your site every time it visits. It will take hints from your sitemap but will also decide its own crawling schedule.

    Hey Jason,
Its not necessary that bots will crawl all the pages of website at a stretch. Thats why some pages will show recently cache date while other shows the old one.

  • I think Its not necessary that when Google crawl your website Googlebot crawls all of your website pages. Google has its own method and pattern of crawling which decide which page to crawl when. Googlebot prefers to crawl any updates your have done on your website first. So if Google finds updated content or webpages then they will crawl it and you got new date of crawling fr those pages.
