Organic Keyword Research

Hi Guys.

Does any one here know of an online tool that will be useful for organic keyword research - I know about google adwords keyword tool - is there any other tool other than that.

    You can try Market Samurai (free trial) Long Tail Pro (free trial). Market Samurai has very helpful video tutorials walkig you through keyword research process. I used to use MS alot at the beginning of my SEO/SEM journey.

    Now i stick to Google Keyword Tool + Excel (gDocs).

    Once you have a keyword with proven traffic you can branch off the original keyword with Related searches, this will help bring in more relevant traffic.

    Example, keyword phrase: low cost auto insurance
    • auto insurance quotes
    • auto insurance companies
    • affordable auto insurance

    Some of those related searches will probably also be in the GKT.









    The best thing to do is track your existing incoming search traffic keywords, then find the incoming keywords that get very little traffic (ex: 10 traffic a month), next do a manual Google search with Chrome Incognito, If that keyword with known traffic isn't on page #1 in Google SERPs, that's the keywords you need to optimize your own pages for.

    If your getting 10 unique search traffic from page #2 in Google SERPs, I guarantee the #1 SERP position for the same keyword is getting a lot more traffic.

    Always keep track of your incoming keyword phrases & manually verify your page is ranked on page #1 of Google SERPs, If it's not on page #1, do the SEO to make it happen.

    There are plenty of alternatives. But why not just go straight to the source? The Google Keyword Tool. Most Keyword Tools use it to provide you with data. So just go to the source and cut out the middle man.

    My favorite combination is the GKT + Traffic Travis free (for page 1 competition checks.)

    You may try with Keyword Country... It has one free online tool and one desktop version which have many more useful tools than Keyword Research tool.
