Setting up Google Analytics Email Alerts

I thought I set this up properly so I am sent an email each morning with the number of visits from the previous day, but evidently i missed something. Has anybody set up a traffic report with the number of visitors coming to your site? If so, how did you do it?

    Did you set it up in the correct profile? Sometimes when setting up an alert it is easy to forget to check the box to have the alert emailed to you when it happens. Did you forget to do that?

      Yeah thats what I did. It just provides a link to go view the report. I was hoping for something that provided number of daily visitors or something in the body of the email. Is that not possible?
