Why Magestic SEO Shows Fewer Backlinks than It does On Flippa?

I really wonder if i do something wrong.

For example: for the website I listed on Flippa Majestic SEO shows 1,185 Inbound Links & this stats is shown automatically once the listing is live online.

But when i check the same domain on majestic seo online tool itself, it shows very few backlinks?

Why is this so?

My main aim is to check all the valid inbound backlinks to my domain even before I list it for sale. Because I want to note this stats in the text of my listing too.

So experienced Flippa users, please help me with your advice!

    You will get variations in all backlinks checker tools. I would recommend you to count backlinks from Google Webmaster Tool where you can see all indexed backlinks for your website and it's tool of Google so no doubt about it's accuracy.

      But Google Webmaster Tool is mostly for checking link popularity of the website. But I just want to check the backlinks of any domain before even I buy it.

      So I would like to know the trick with that Magestic SEO - I think I do something wrong...

      Please help, if anyone here is experienced in checking backlinks of domains with this or other tools.

    see, all the backlinks analysis websites have their own crawler therefore all these websites like alexa, ahrefs,majesticseo, google wemaster tools etc will show different amount of backlinks for the same websites.however majesticseo is one of the most reliable one and you can trust on that instead of paying attention on flippa links.

    Backlink checker tools are very inacurate and not updated frequently, so you will not get the same results from two different ones.
