PPC Affiliate Keyword Research

Hey guys,

I started my own PPC campaigns about 3 weeks ago, and I'm doing alright, I have about 100% ROI and to be fair that should be more as I'm using a £75 free adwords voucher, and I've only invested about £100 so far.

The Problem!
I'm finding it hard to expand... I can't seem to find decent affiliate programs that pay a high enough % commision on sales. Or keywords that have low enough CPC (or comepetition) to cover the adwords costs.

Is there any decent keyword guides out there strictly for PPC & Affiliates (not clickbank or information ebook type products)?

Congrats on the 100% ROI - that's good going!

It's probably best to do your own keyword research. From what you've said, I'd start with programs that potentially pay a high enough commission to cover your costs and then test.

That said, unless the niches are the kind with just a one-off purchase, building your own list will be more profitable longer term as you get more than one opportunity to sell to them.

And longer term, producing your own product range gives you a buyers list that's at least partially created by other affiliates.

Building a list is definitely something I want to do eventually but for now, I just want to stick to being an affiliate of ecommerce sites. Thanks for your reply though.

So any ppc keyword research guides out there?

PPC research: I use the Google keyword tool and also the suggestions that come up in Google as you start searching. Often get gems there that don't show up in the keyword tool but are getting searched for as people will select them as they come up.

Google Trends is another hidden gem for keyword research.

This is actually exactly what I have been doing, and it has been working

Google trends though, is something I haven't really looked into for PPC keyword research. As you mentioned, it seems to be a gem for keyword research so I'll look into this further.
