How Will Change in Design affect Website?

Hi,

I am planning to change one of my website's design. I want to know how will this affect my website's traffic and earnings and overall SEO. How will Google view this? I am planning to use a different WP theme - perhaps Junkie theme.

I haven't changed the design earlier. This will be the first time.

    I did changed design for the sites ranked onto first page several times and never had any problem so far, I always used thesis theme for the design if you do change a content it may effect a ranking a bit but themes alone I don't think so...

    If your are redesigned better than old ones definitely you can get more visitors. Site structure is important in SEO. As we know content is king of SEO we need to update content constantly with design.
