Hello,

I want to buy links for seo, but I've heard that google can recognize that.So my question is how Google recognize paid links.

Thank you.

That's done on a manual reporting effort by their own team or if someone else submits stating a site is selling links.

As I know, there is no way for Google to differentiate between a paid link and natural link unless link is placed on suspicious or irrelevant sites. In this case also Google might take a guess only.

Yes, a bot can't detect if it is a paid link or not, not even we can't say unless we have inside knowledge of the company/website where that link is posted.

It will only happen it someone reports to them about such site. Watch your competitors

Well if the sites you buying the link from is a network that leaves behind footprints that's easy for google to catch. But if you dealing with an individual on forum that makes things a lil difficult for google to catch

      Hi intmed,

Google doesn't want anyone buying or selling links for the purpose of manipulating PageRank. They have no problem with you buying links strictly for getting relevant traffic.

If they suspect a link is a paid link they simply will not pass PageRank from that page, PageRank is just filtered. Unless there is a recognizable pattern they are not likely to filter the PageRank.

Of course, if you are buying links strictly for getting targeted traffic, then you have nothing to be concerned about. However, if you are buying links for the purpose of manipulating PR, then you may find your money was wasted.

    Thank you for the answers

OK but if I buy link from a site that have no information for buying links on it (I mean I'll negotiate with the site owner on a forums), and let's say someone report me, so than can Google recognize paid links?

    And one more think.
If I buy link from home page with high pr, and can't they recognize that?In this case I think It's obvious.

    Any other tips, please?

      Hi intmed,

Don't buy links for the purpose of manipulating PageRank and you have nothing to worry about.

If you negotiate a private transaction, how would any one know about it to report it? If you could just report someone without evidence, wouldn't many people report their competitors just to eliminate the competition?

I'm sure that selling links publicly for the purpose of manipulating PR is the only thing that Google is looking to stamp out. They aren't interested in getting involved in squabbles between competitors. Penalizing innocent victims wouldn't be the best Public Relations move.
