Home Page Displaying Unrelated Ads

I created an adsense site and for some reason Google displays unrelated ads. On all my other pages it displays the correct ads. I even swapped pages to see if my content wasn't related enough to my niche, with a page which I knew was optimised for those ads, and it still displays unrelated ads. What am I doing wrong?

do you have enough relevant text on home page. if yours is a blog, try increasing the excerpt length displayed on new blog posts which are shown on home page.

is it new page? new content?
It may take some time. Adsense bot will visit your page, index it and then display relevant ads.

Well, you can block unrelated ads from showing in your adsense ads.

Keyword density is at 5%, title and meta have the keyword in there, hell I even put in meta keywords still nothing

It is new but what I don't understand why all my other pages are displaying relevant ads?

The most you can block is 50 categories, I have blocked all the ones that are appearing most often.

TBH I just can't understand why my homepage is doing this when I have a site which is built the exact same way with not troubles.

Same thing happened with me. Even I had the problem or unrelated ads on my website at the start. I never bothered about that as I thought Google might be doing it for a reason. Eventually I saw relevant ads on the pages. I didn't do anything, except waiting.

    Thanks Shaolinsteve,

I would try to follow your suggestion of replacing Adsense with Affiliate Banner and see if it helps me.
