as in ... traffic and no traffic, or rank and no rank? Or simply indexed and then not indexed?

indexed and unindexed 12 hours later.

Traffic is still fine and in fact was going great until a sharp drop about an hour ago, but that seems to be a daily trend... I hope. Daily peak starts in 20 minutes and lasts for the next 8 hours so I'll know if something hanky is going on there shortly.

Is your site newly indexed?? If so, Google has tons of servers... depending on which IP address you came into Google on, that server may or may not have the index replicated to it yet. It sometimes takes upwards of a week for Google to replicate the main index across all of their servers.

It's not even a week old and was surprised to see it at all so soon.

And then confused it was gone so quickly.

Either way, not a huge deal, just my curiosity.

I've had the same problem aswell. My site was up just for a week and then one of the pages dissapeared. They call it the google dance.
My page came back so just give it few days.

I guess this is due to the freshness of your site. Perhaps your site has received a fresh crawl which means that G bot has just started to index it but during this process you will see this fluctuation.

Once you site is gone through deep crawl, you will find more stable results. It usually happens in a month's time.
