Hello fellow Warriors,

I have posted here several times and you have helped me out tremendously - thank you! So when another question arose I was hoping that maybe you could help me again.

I have been writing a blog for a while and have now been approached by people who want to place ads in my sidebars.

I was planning on doing this in the future, but since I have been asked now, I suppose now would be the time.

My first question is pricing - how much do you charge for something like that? and my second question is since I never did this before, what else do I need to consider? size of ad, placement etc.

My blog is your online handyman.com in case you would like to take a look.

As always I really appreciate you help! Thanks!

Not sure what things you are talking about Radix. I have several widgets, but that is about it. I have been checking my blog in IE and Firefox to make sure it's visible.

      Hi becks,

Some folks use Alexa rank or toolbar PageRank, however I would never personally consider those reliable indicators. Both are easy to manipulate and people basing their choice to advertise based on those metrics are usually being ripped off.

For me, a better metric is use data from Quantcast and natural SERP rankings. Find other sites with similar traffic and inquire about what they charge. As long as you are in the same ballpark you should be ok.
