I use it on all of my sites, it only works if your site is getting traffic in the first place, because it uses the data that your site gets found for to suggest keywords to write your next post on. a lot of the time the post that you write with the title of the suggested keyword you will rank number one for.

The reason that i would suggest this tool is because as many of you may know Google analytics does not show you every keyword that your site is found with in fact most of the searches are (not provided), and i found this very incontinent.

Also we all use the Google Keyword Tool and this is a good tool to use but like i said we all use it (or we use long tail pro or other software that pulls information from the Google Keyword Tool). that being said we all have that information the thing that is good about Hit Tail is that you are the only one with the information provided to you because it is based on your site.

With all the updates that Google has had it is a lot harder to just build a small niche site for things like Google Adsense, when i build a site i use long tail pro to find my main keywords and i will post 10-15 posts on it and then i will add articles to it as Hit Tail suggest them, now the reason that these long tail keywords that Hit Tail suggest to you are not on the Google Keyword tool is because their search traffic is too low to populate, you may only get 10-15 searches per month for that particular long tail keyword, but every time i write a new post I get found for other keywords that i was not trying to get noticed for and Hit Tail will suggest those to me to rank number one for those keywords.

i have a business in las vegas and i use Hit Tail on my site their as well and i have seen that help my business tremendously, because rather than a person finding my niche site and clicking on an add and me earning around $2 i earn a new client that can pay upwards to $600 a year.

I have ten sites that started out as small niche sites, but over the last couple of years i have just been adding more and more content to them as Hit Tail suggest them to me and these sites are making on average $200-$350 per month (this is an average over all my sites some make more some make less). But as i add more content my site that was once a niche site is now an authority site and really does not run the risk of being hit by the Google wrath.

This all being said i find Hit Tail to be a great tool, if you guys have any questions about the tool please feel free to ask me, I have been using it for some time now and find it very useful.

I have it but I wouldn't necessarily say that I use it. It definitely seemed interesting when it came across my desk and I got some special deal and took advantage of it. But I'm not sure. It does a decent job of recommending additional long tail keywords and depending upon the price it might be worthwhile. But I think you can gather most of the data through other (free) sources.
