How are one word EMD's doing lately?

Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on one word exact match domains and how they are doing post Panda/Penguin?

I have one, and the other extensions are just sitting out there, not being used. I'm thinking of developing it and hoping for some SEO juice because it is one word, the exact word I am targeting (obviously).

The only thing that is clear is that EMDs that relies solely on the fact that they were an EMD (meaning very little or bad content) were penalized. Some people think that EMDs are now treated like any other site - they get no extra benefit nor are they penalized solely because they are an EMD. Other people think that there is still some benefit as long as you build out the rest of the site properly and put up good content.

So if the keyword isn't too competitive where you can rank for it fairly easily, go for it. From a marketing perspective they still can make sense given that a person who sees it knows that it's related to what they are searching for.
