What's the quickest way to get to the 1st page of Google for your chosen keywords and start generating traffic fast?

    Set your keywords (in the title, description, meta tags, content) and Work on getting lots and lots of backlinks!

    You should aim for backlinks with a Pr higher than 5

    It depends on your keywords and how competitive they are. Generally ezine articles is a sure fire way to get on top of search engine listings but if your blog or site ranks high already, post a new article on your domain. There are just countless ways to get on the first page; to stay on the first page is a whole different game

    Use a keyword tool (such as nichebotclassic) to look
    up non competitive keywords for a particular niche

    For example. If you looked up "network marketing"
    and saw that "best network marketing" is being
    looked up using google by some people, then you
    just create an article, video, blog that is rich with the
    "best network marketing".

    Since there is not much competition for this keyword
    phrase, then you have a much better shot of getting
    to the top of searches fast.

    I have recently success with the steps I take below:

    1. Find a keyword phrase with optimized results of 1000 or less.

    2. Create a squidoo lens of at least 300 words with the exact keyphrase hyperlink to the product.

    3. The lens must have at least 5 modules so once you published, your lens will have a "green checkmark" which means it's immediately featured in squidoo and not wip.

    4. make a blog post linking to the new squidoo len.

    5. bookmark the squidoo len on digg.com

    Results: My lens appeared in first page of google with 5 hours and I make a
    sale of $19. Sweet!

      If you can get links back that's great, but it's really important to have content rich site.

    Build high quality backlinks, have unique content and update it regularly. Make sure you have your keywords in your Meta tags, and in your sites content. Also, target a long tail keyword that isn't competing with millions of pages.

    Learn SEO and 'cross your fingers'

    Even if you get to the first page it's reported that only the TOP 3 postions, and particularly the NUMBER 1 position get the click thrus. (as you'd expect)

    Hi just to add to this and I know this has been asked in a previous thread but what software would you recommend to aid and speed up this process, specifally lets say i developed 10 sites that need to rank well on Google now in actual fact I dont have a huge problem in getting on the 1st page of Google after I have done all the necessary longtail keyword stuff but for multiple sites this will take up too much time as I want to keep cranking out sites, so once again what SEO tool will help streamline this process.

    Sorry if this seems like Im highjacking this thread.

    the fastest to get to number one on Google is make sure your keyword is used in the title, meta tags, sprinkled in the content and the best is the URL. for instance, if you have a keyword "love weight loss" and you got a url loveweightloss.org or .com or net, you will definitely got to the number one on google. these keywords some something in the range of 23 million sites if you google it but the site is on number one.
