Do you ping your sitemap?

I have alot of pages on my blog that are not indexed after several days. Is it helpful to ping my xml sitemap so the bots can find the obscure pages?

    Google crawls more frequently based on factors such as Page Rank. If your sites new, it can take 14-days to get stuff indexed. Just submit your sitemap to WMT and forget about it. People spend far too long pinging posts and everything else. Just stop focusing on it.

      It'll take some time to get fully indexed on your own. If you want to speed it up, pretty much all you can do is try and get a link from a site that is probably indexed more frequently - authority site, high PR, etc.

        Yes, you can ping your sitemap but if you have already submitted your sitemap in Google Webmasters Tool then pinging the same will not work. The other thing you can do is create some quality back links for all of those web pages which are not yet indexed.
