If I am using Amazon plugins like WP Zon Builder, is the content pulled out of Amazon considered as duplicate?

If yes, how do I avoid getting penalized?

I don't think it would be considered as duplicate content. WP Zon is really cool and it makes beautiful posts!

That is not the duplicate content but your website will be considered as the thin affiliate site.
If you want to get higher rankings in the search engines then you have to add some unique content from your end.

If the plugin is pulling the content word-for-word from Amazon, then yes, it is duplicate content.

If the plugin spins the Amazon content, then it will pass the duplicate content penalty. However, I believe Google will be cracking down on spinning soon.

It is better to build an affiliate site that people would love to read and share without all ads in your face. Auto affiliate sites are dead.

Why not just add a blog to that site were you post original content on if you're worried about google penalizing you for duplicate content?

Even though Google might see the automated posts as duplicate content (who knows?) you will never get penalized if you add original content on your site on a regular basis.

first i started with making wordpress sites, and later moved into building stores like sites using zon builder, etc. and, i also used some themes to make them look nice, rather than using the default theme. since then, i have some sites making something around $300 per month from amazon commissions. some do great, some dont.

anyway, upto now, i have not seen any issue in ranking of those sites. the content is pulled from amazon, so there cant be an issue. anyway, the keywords are not super competitive, and medium search volume. cant tell anything about how they will behave in a tough market.

btw, i didnt just build links. i built the links slowly taking around 1-2 months for the site to rank, and now build links like once a month. and, i do a lot of social sharing via outsourcers.

I say yes Google considers it duplicate content. All duplicate content isn't the same.

Google has posted (don't have the link) that they count some scraped eCommerce as duplicate content.

It's extremely obvious that If your web page has the [exact] same text as an Amazon product page, you copied the content directly from Amazon.

Try copyscape, even when I have content written for me I run it thru just to double check, so far so good, haven't been G slapped yet.
