Hello,

Iam thinking to harvest some good HIGH PR urls related to boomarking, social networks, web 2.0 , wiki, .edu, .gov etc...

As far as I know scrapebox works best for this (BUT very costly), could you please tell me any such software like this?

Awaiting responseS!

Thanks!

You could try SeNuke, but I don't suggest using any tools at all and neither do I suggest using any blackhat methods.

Iam surprised, how this software comes under blackhat? I just scrape HIGH PR URL's and use them to submit using senuke

(ofcourse I use good private proxies, good spinning, and then submit..)

      ISnt that a good idea?

Scrapebox isn't costly, one off fee for about $50, pretty cheap compared to a monthly fee of senuke or something. Also you would need a method of scraping such URLS, footprints and such. You might be better off buying link packets such as Angelas for profiles and others for Wikis, Web 2.0s etc.

If you wanted to find a list of top social bookmarking sites and web 2.0 just google something like "top social bookmarking sites with pr" and I'm sure it will bring up relevant useful information for you.

Scrapebox is an amazing tool to have. It's like the swiss army knife of SEO. It's dirt cheap, and a much better investment than SeNuke.

People associate it with mass spamming comments, but that's its least useful feature. For backlinking purposes, yes you can use it to scrape hundreds of high PR properties related to your niche, to MANUALLY place your link via relevant interaction with that site.

You can check if you links are indexed
    You can ping your links
You can create RSS Feeds out of all your links
You can check if a site's PR has been faked
If you do run submission software you can quickly analyze 10,000's of urls
The text/list editing options are amazing
    You can harvest proxies
You can check the health of your proxies

and even more that I just cannot think of right now

Scrapebox is far from costly at just $57.

I use & love Gscraper. It's similar with Scrapebox, less addons, but faster scraping.

Have they changed up things? From what I heard months ago in order to get that speed you needed their $60+ a month proxies that could only be used with gcraper

You need proxies for SB too Mike. And not only that.

Go private? How many private proxies would you need to scrape @60k links pm on SB slow settings? 500, 1000? Oh wait SB cant scrape at those speeds.

I could always use the the rock solid public proxy list SB give. Get about 200 working on a good day then watch them die after 30 minutes.

Or I could happily hand over $66 to GS and have all of there 53 64Gig Dedis run and run and run, without me ever having to scrape, test, filter, and watch my SB proxies fail. Never having to worry about nothing in terms of working proxies.

Never having to worry about SBs notorious threading errors that kill your bandwidth and cpu.

This is one argument you won't win honey.

        Bring It SHAAAMON

I'd say GS spend more on proxy servers per month then Scrapebox spent on their entire development to date.

ROFL....Oh I win already Kevin.because I am considering buying gscraper not putting them down. It really was just a question I just wanted to know if they had changed that up is all. Now calm down and pull your head out of that wedgie you got it rolled up in.

Mind you though I don't really run into much problems with scrapebox. don't and won't use any of that software to spam blast comments etc. I do scraping only and most proxy services do me fine - plus I can use them on other software (mostly backlink checking software).

]So anyone tried it without their proxy service? I don't feel link spending a 100 a month on proxies between the ones with this and my other tools..

I would dare to guess you use it for similar purposes that I do. Honestly I love and use both tools for different reasons. SB is a lot more simplistic in terms of user interface (Only because devs are native english speaking). But if you took the time to go through each of the GS features, its pretty much got everything SB has that I would consider important.

But for speed in getting things done, there is simply no comparison. GS is streets ahead on every level of that game.

            SB threading 100
GS threading 1500x2 Its thread on thread technology (follow thread closes any errors, hangs, timeouts cleanly)

Best I've ever had SB scraping @8k ish LPM with 500 private proxies (Yes 500 that's how I roll)
Best I've ever had GS scraping @140k ish LPM with their proxy service. GS is really only limited by your comp resources.

Its 5am here though, and I've been working hard. I'll see if I can get hold of one of them tomorrow and see bout a BFF discount.

Doubt it. I Do extremely targeted scrapes and seldom need the kind of throughput you are mentioning.

Dude....LOL... get over the comparison . I was just asking a question about how it works without their dedicated can't use for anything else proxies. I am NOT debating one over the other. I have heard good things about gsraper. Said so months and months ago when they were first mentioned here.

Oh I'm very exact too Mike. I think of it more like your a Fox hunting for Chickens, and I'm a Lion hunting for Buffalo.... I have a bigger stomach to fill...Your link acquisitions probably end up in my recycle bin.

If you know how to do "html" footprinting you can really pin down targeting a lot better then the plain "text" footprinting. If you get lost give Yukon a shout, he seems pretty boss at it.

Can someone compare and contrast ScrapeBox and GScrape, and other software that is similar. I need something to find links I can give my "busy bees" to post comments, articles, etc. to with my site link. I've used Ultimate Demon six months ago, but after my bank updated my CC I never updated it and my license expired.

I am debating between ScrapeBox and GScrape. They are very similar in features and price. SeNuke's monthly plan is too pricy...

    What are your thoughts?

@ PeteyPub there is no need for the comparation between scrapbox and Gscrape, scrapbox is absolutely the best in terms of scraping, analyzing in fact it has much more feature just recently they just added additional 27 sites it can post comments to including forum, so far they are the best and one time payment which is quite cheap

Alright I confess. this place now mystifies me completely.

How can anyone call Scrapebox too expensive (at like $50 one time) but contemplate a Senuke strategy at $147 per MONTH?

These last 24-36 hours whenever I visit WF it has been surreal.

Obviously you have never even seen the GScraper homepage to make those statements. Too funny to even shred apart your "facts".

No I don't think it's expensive as compared to the services it offers, better than any other software.
Compared to senuke, it's still better in pricing and working both.

Does GScrape use anonymous proxies? If not, then Scrapebox would be the winner just for that reason alone.

    Hello,

You can use GScrapper instead of scrapebox. I just bought that program earlier today and I will honestly say I am extremely happy with my purchase. One of the better programs I've bought. I also have scrape box as well so I'm giving you a very honest opinion here. Between both of them I think Gscraper does a better job of scraping and faster than scrapebox, but with that said scrapebox has more options, Like for example I haven't found a alive checker in Gscraper yet so that I can re-crawl list, but maybe I'm not looking in the right area yet. It also posts to blogs like scrapebox as well. All in all for $38 I think your going to be pretty happy with it. The crawling speed is what I like the most, Its a beast with good proxies.

Hope this will work for you
    Have a nice day.

Scrapebox Is not expensive! It's one of the cheaper tools, and what It offers Is amazing.

I have recently been using It to find places to guest blog at, white hat :p

In the past three weeks I have gotten two PR2 links, four PR3 links, one PR4 link, and two PR5 links. Oh, and I'm waiting for a PR7 to accept my article (most likely will). All dofollow as well

Never heard of Gscraper till now, looks pretty much the same. Never tried It, so I don't have anything good or bad to say about It.

Just realized this thread has been brought back from the dead 01-13-2013, 03:42 PM

For pure scraping, I've heard (never tested) that Gscraper is pretty tough to beat. But the amount of things Scrapebox can do for $57 is ridiculous. Hell they've even released a fairly robust rank tracker as a $15 addon.
