Adsense Sucks - Made only $5 with 22 clicks

This is more me venting on how much adsense sucks. Today I saw my analytics for my page "health benefits of pomegranate juice" and while I generated 22 clicks (fairly high), it only generated $5.37, a CPC of $0.24.

It's bad enough that sales for my own info product aren't that high, now I have to figure out why adsense isn't producing much income either.

If anyone else has had the same experience or understands, any insights are appreciated. Keep on keeping on, I guess.

The CPC you are getting is not bad, you can scale it up further by adding more pages on your website targeting other keywords. Advertisers often choose to pay less for content networks so the CPC that you see advertised as being average for your keyword may not be relevant to adsense.

I guess you have a new adsense account or adsense has issue while crawling your pages, That may be reason to your low earnings.

That's like saying all stocks suck on NASDAQ when all you invest in is penny stocks.

What CPC did you expect from something like pomegranate juice?

Instead of targeting pomegranate juice, target something like diabetes as a keyword subject (ex: diabetes treatment, clinical trials, etc...).

Do the research & find out If any pharma (Adwords $$) are using pomegranate for medicinal use.

    Clinical trial rationale and activity

Metabolites of pomegranate juice ellagitannins localize specifically in the prostate gland, colon, and intestinal tissues of mice, leading to clinical studies of pomegranate juice or fruit extracts for efficacy against several diseases.
In 2011, 32 clinical trials were registered with the National Institutes of Health to examine effects of pomegranate extracts or juice consumption on a list of diseases:
    • prostate cancer
    • prostatic hyperplasia
    • diabetes
    • lymphoma
    • rhinovirus infection (completed, July 2008)
    • common cold (completed, June, 2007)
    • oxidative stress in diabetic hemodialysis
    • atherosclerosis
    • coronary artery disease
    • infant brain injury
    • hemodialysis for kidney disease

Adsense pays out pennies to a lot of people and for most people is not worth the hassle at all. I Have been saying adsense sucks for a long time - welcome

Ugh..... Yes of course what the world needs is more sites merely built around medical phrases by marketers that have no idea about medicine because what sick people really need is internet marketers creating such sites to either waste their time or tell them potentially damaging false information.

The good news for me and the public at large though is that the OP is unlikely to rank for any of those keywords suggested.

Bottom line is most people in all kinds of niches make very little money from Adsense. its just a fact . No excuse changes that fact. If NASDAQ was like adsense then the economy would be in a full scale depression for the next decade.

I do have adsense on other pages of my site and the CPC ranges quite a bit.

My adsense account isn't new, it's been up for a while, then I took it off to promote my ebook and I recently put it back up.

And pomegranate juice has a consistent search trend. Very similar to **** but has maintained it's buzz so I would think it'd have a higher CPC.

Your earnings really aren't bad at all. For judging it further number of pageviews would be great to know. Adsense usualy likes stability. Find in good positions for your ads to get total CTR of page about 5% and keep it like that for a longer period. Good results will come. Good luck.

Not a big Adsense fan myself, but I'd actually say that 24 cents a click isn't that bad.

What time period was that? 1 day, 1 week? 1 month?

If your getting a low CPC you should either change your niche or generate more content.

This is just for the day and the ad requests are 1,037.

That's true regarding targeting diabetes or a specific medical condition. Fortunately for me I have the medical and nutritional knowledge/background to know what I'm talking about.

From what I've learned from Adsense 100k blueprint. Go after the evergreen niches, people say don't because there over saturated? But think about it? Follow the money? Am I right? I've been told your suppose to create informative websites and adsense wont work well with product centric websites.

It doesn't seem that adsense has wronged you in any way or suspended your account for "no reason". Your basically saying adsense sucks because your site doesn't get enough traffic to make you as much money as you would like. 0.24 cents per click isn't great but its not bad either. A while back I was like 0.68 up to $1.80 per click consistantly. Past few weeks I'm down to like 0.05 or 0.06 per day. I get more clicks than you but I'm still nt happy with the cpc. You dont really have much to complain about though 0.24 isn't too shabby you just need to drive more traffic and get more clicks.
