Hi everybody. I want to ask if someone has the same situation. I have 4 keywords ranked very well on page 1 of Google. Three of them have between 20000 + /50000+ general searches per month, i mean those keywords are not small ones. Still i am getting very few organic hits. Just 30-40 from organic searches while being on the so dreamed page 1 and i am thinking what to do to improve things. I am talking about pure SEO.

1.) I have a suspicion that your 50000+ general searches a month is using broad match instead of exact match.

2.) I also have a suspicion you are seeing personalized results in google, and you're not actually ranked so high. Use a proxy or check on another computer.

I learned how to check the rank, problem should be something else.
      These are the keywords details:
      keyword 1 - 60000+ broad searches and 1000 exact
      keyword 2 - 40000+ broad searches and 1000 exact
      keyword 3 - 22000+broad searches and 58 exact
      keyword 4 - 6000+ broad searches and 170 exact

I am between top 1 and top 7. I work on improving the SERP but this is so strange to me, i am for sure missing something?

There's your problem, your looking at broad search numbers while checking [exact] keywords in the SERPs, that's two different things.

It depends where you are on page 1 and how many adverts Google has put at the top of the page.

Figures vary but most of the clicks go to the top three spaces (ever wondered why Google sells those ad positions?) and it tails off considerably once you get past about the 4th or 5th result as "you're below the fold" and people have to scroll to see your result.

Aim to be high up for a longer tail keyword, even it shows as less searches.

Many a times this happens even if you are on first page. This happened to me also My keyword was on the 6th position. You will have to try to get it in the top 3, then you will see the difference and will get many clicks. It could be difficult, but you have to try little harder.
