Bought PR5 Domain, found subdomain also is PR5, looking for advice

Hello all,

Looking for a little input on how to possibly boost PR spread from domain I purchased. It's a PR5 site I bought from yourmaindomain dot com.

The site is an old media streaming site, similar to Netflix and must have fell off and but has thousands of back links and a few edu already indexed.

I noticed today when using SEOQuake, that one of the sub-domains was also indexed and is a PR5. It looks like it was the subdomain where the videos were streaming from, and has a ton of backlinks also.

After buying the name, doing whois protection and all the normal stuff, Is there anyway or best practice to give the main page a "boost" or redirect link juice from the sub domain to main? Or, does it just make more sense to recreate the subdomain and use it for something else?

In any case, my goal is to make this a money site and do something with it multimedia wise.

    If you do a 301, would the anchor text from the subdomain's links help your main site at all? Anchor text does in fact carry over, so this would be a factor for me, plus redirects are rumoured to lose some link juice in the process.

    The was I see it is you got a 2-for-1 special! Personally I would be far happier seeing them and using them as 2 different sites for building backlinks to my money sites or 3/4 way links.

    Here's what I would do:

    Use the main page to link out to your other sites (money sites)

    use the PR5 sub-directory to link to 5 other sites, which you then turn into PR3 PBN sites, which in turn, link to your money sites.
