I stared using Adsense on a non retail website in December. Christmas was slow as expected but through January my revenue has not picked back up to Decembers peaks.

I know there are a lot of factors to consider but in general is January always a slow month or is December usually above average (for non retail sites)?

Thanks

It partly depends on the market vertical/segment you're in.

A couple of my sites do just as well, if not better, in January as compared to December because January is the busiest month of the year for new product launches in their markets.

It really depends on the niche of the website! You can't tell that EACH website will result in a decrease in the Adsense earnings during January!

For me, Nov, Dec, Jan are my best performing months. I think that Feb 2013 might be way above normal, considering Jan is doing great (above the usual high). I'm not sure all those big arrows on the Ads are helping or not, Google started those up around Nov 2012 so it's hard to say since the last 3 months are my usual best performers.

It would be nice If Google allowed us to turn those arrows On/Off per Ad block, then we would have a better idea If the arrows are actually boosting CTR (split test).
