Ridiculously Low CPC rates

I got 4 clicks today. The cpc rates are:

USA : cents 4
India : cents 3
South Africa : cents 2
New Zealand : cent 1

Total 11 cents for 4 clicks.

Are not the cpc rates ridiculously low?

    Impossible to say If the CPC is low without knowing the type of Ads your pages are getting.

    If the page is showing Google Ads (Adwords, etc...) your going to get low balled (ex: $0.04), If it's a competitive subject (ex: home owners insurance), then yes $0.04 is an extremely low CPC which wouldn't be normal.

    I sometimes get $0.01 for a health niche too... It happens. I'm guessing there's probably less competition this period.

    $0.04 can be a high or low CPC depending on what keywords your site targets and what Ads are served by Google.

    As an advertiser, here's an explanation that makes sense to me:

    Your site is appearing for content network campaigns but advertisers have noticed that the traffic isn't very good and they've flagged it for exclusion in their campaign dashboard. A lot of Made-For-Adsense type sites (I'm not insinuating that yours is one) will get flagged once they are excluded in a lot of campaigns and 'smart priced' to have a low CPC.

    Focus on improving the quality of the site and this might go away. A lot of people that run Adsense sites don't understand that you're not getting paid directly by Google but by the people that are placing ads on your site. If the traffic isn't working for them, don't expect the to keep paying premium rates for the ad space.

    The most likely reason for extremely low CPC is that there aren't many advertisers competing for your ad space. There are many possible reasons for that. Maybe advertisers aren't targeting sites with your theme. If your site is real new then you probably have few or no advertisers targeting your site specifically. When that happens your CPC can really go through the roof. If your visitors click but don't buy then advertisers might block your site from their campaign. Etc. Etc.
