How to find Competitor back links?

Yes download SEO SpyGlass thats what I use and I love it. I've been using the free version for a looong time and eventually I will wind up buying it. Thats how much I like it.

Along with that I would also install SEO Quake on firefox if you don't have it. Using both together are very powerful imo. SEO SpyGlass for more in depth research, SEO Quake for automated research as you browse the web.

I know you are looking for a free service, but if you want good results I recommend using a combination of the following three tools

1) Ahrefs
2) MajesticSEO
3) Seomoz Opensite Explorer

Please note that even if you do use all three tools combined you will still not capture all the backlinks pointing to a website.

Everytime I used to check my backlinks at backlinkwatch .com only. It helps me to find out both the no follow and do follow backlinks simultaneously. I love this website very much to check my backlinks..

I use OpenSiteExplorer, it provides good results. Is free for a limited number of backlinks.
I use premium version.

I would recommend seo spyglass (anyway, I am using seo powersuite, but spyglass can be downloaded separately as well and has a free version). Very good for tracking competitors' strategy too.
