Bing ads, very poor sign ups

Hi,

I have been running some bing ads for a while on a free offer that I have, and I have spend $3.87 with 62 clicks, and 143,076 impressions. However, I have gotten only one sign up onto my list.

This conversion ratio is definitely bad and how can I improve it? To have more people with clicks to sign up?

Thanks

You have too low amount of data to tell anything..you can't judge on the 62 clicks received..but too low CTR is indicator that you should tweak your ad..split test it always so you can know what works better in order to increase your conversions..

The 62 clicks all came from the content network, should I switch off the content network or bid very low for it?

I never use content network. No matter it's Adwords or Adcentre.

A low CTR is to be expected for the content network. The level of user-engagement is much different than search. Since folks on the content network aren't actively searching for your topic, your ads are more of an interruption.

That said, I'd recommend finding every related keyword imaginable (I'm talking thousands if possible) and adding them to your campaign (if you're going to keep it exclusively on the content network). This way you can spread your net wider and get more clicks. The CTR will still be low, but at least you'll get more clicks and more data to work with.

If you're getting hundreds of clicks and still getting a poor conversion rate, you need to split-test your landing page. Videos, quizzes and surveys work well to increase conversion rates. Your message needs to be consistent from your ad to your lander, too. Think of your ad as telling a story and your lander as picking up where it leaves off.

Now I have put in high keywords and 20 to 30 of them, such as those get 100k searches a month, but I have gotten only 13 impressions with zero clicks from them

How do I get more clicks? Increase my bid for them?

Content network works great on Google so I can't see why it would change much for Bing. Paid ads to a squeeze page requires constant testing of both the squeeze page, the advertising copy, and the traffic you send to the page.

Maybe your squeeze page is the problem and not the traffic. Make changes and see if you can beat your current 1.5% sign-up rate.

Have you tested your squeeze page elsewhere? What average sign-up rate were you historically getting?

62 viewers are only a small sample so also work on improving your CTR. Cull the sites that are giving you a lot of views but little clicks. Find the ones with a high CTR and a high conversion rate.

Bing is the platform, it just gets you infront of some traffic. It's over to you from there on in.

This is a new site so I don't have any historical data from SEO on the sign up rates.

The squeeze page is right here Free Intelligent Investing Email Newsletter

I don't see why it should convert at 1.5%....... That extremely low, considering the video and all.

You will need to split test your landing pages...

Try to group the keywords in different group too.

Also you need to track which keywords covert better..

No it's not. It means that people don't want whatever you're giving them. Change that and it will improve. Changing the advertising network won't change much at all, just the person you blame.
