Does Your Google Places Title Have To Match Your Homepage Title?

This is something I'm really curious about.

I notice my competitor who is ranking #1 in google places for my area, his website uses the same title as all his citations.

I know how important it is to get your NAPs the same, between citations, but I'm curious if the title of your site needs to be the same?

Right now my google places title is "MMRG Mold Remediation & Basement Waterproofing" (same as all my citations).

My website title is the same. But I want to change it to "Mold Remediation NJ - MMRG Mold Remediation & Basement Waterproofing" that way I can plug my keyword phrase "mold remediation nj" in the begining of the title.

Will this affect my google places?

    Do you ever try to analysis you have same citations numbers or Reviews he is having or building links? is your website is old or new etc factors. just choosing same title isn't key. factors are always behind it.
