My site

hsktests.com

used to rank on the first page for the term

hsk test

Now I can't even find it on the first 5 pages.
Am I being punished for "keyword stuffing?"
What's Google's problem? I'm trying to create a brand here.
Or am I just being paranoid?

What kind of and to which extent you were doing keywords stuffing. Can you please elaborate a bit.

How is your content? Are you stuffing in your content?

Seems you got the benefit of the doubt at the start and now Google placed you where you should rank. You have only 2 back links, well actually 96 but only from 2 domains and there are quite a few sites targeting that keyword.

Also the content on your homepage is pretty thin.

The homepage or back link profile is definitely not over optimized.

Also you have 16 odd redirects, not sure why that is, for example:

    http://hsktests.com/?p=21 redirects to http://hsktests.com/a-comprehensive-...e-for-newbies/

You should put some more content on your website. The content is very less and your keywords seems to be a lot of times.

Content content content. Google de-valued EMD's a few months back. It's still a good idea to have your keywords in your URL, but it's not going to help as much as it did in the past.

Just make sure you've got GOOD content.

From my own experience I can advice you to DITCH any EMD domain right away.

Especially when the keyword is long tailed and has considerable traffic.

I don't really think the OP's domain falls into this category though. It's pretty short.

Devalued a bit maybe but I'm not sure Google would be punishing for it. What in the case of brands that are the url and also the keyword, like Hoover or cheapflights etc..?

Try to create more contents for your site. Other sites(ranked well) are giving useful contents to traffic. So they are getting more priority than you. Try to make your contents useful for traffic.
