Where your invalid clicks may be coming from

I get invalid clicks. We all do. I never worry much.

I do have my domains designated so nobody can play
games with my code.

From time to time, I get messages telling me that my ads
have appeared on unauthorized sites and for me to approve
them (or not). Most are from mundane sources, like google
forwarding blogspots to the country of origin tld, or translations
on yahoo or google, but rarely do I ever see a page I don't
approve.

Just saw one today. Looks like maybe some russian portal is
loading sites in certain ways. No biggie, but it's not bing,
yahoo, or google, so I did not approve it.

Thing is, I just noticed something that I never saw before.

Google stated that impressions and clicks will still be counted,
just no revenue generated. It seems kind of crazy, since I also
knew that the adsensebot is blocked. Oh well.

Clicks and impressions from these sites will appear in your reports, but you will not generate earnings from them.
I'm also guessing that the money will show up, and then may be subtracted.
Money is actually reported first, impressions lag.

So, if you have turned down some sites from showing your
code, that may explain some of your invalid clicks.

Remember, normal invalid clicks are not really the same as click fraud.
That's a whole other story.

If you are not approving domains for your adsense, you should.
