Ok, my thread about ranking on google was kinda lame. I ranked first with 10 competitors...

That was LAME

So I tried and tried, and now...

I rank second out of 2,080,000 results for: web 2.0 guarantee button

Thanks for all your help in my futile SEO efforts!. I have no real idea how I did it. Just uploaded a vid to youtube...

    OK, I really am not trying to dampen your spirits here, but do you have any idea how many people actually search for the phrase that you're now ranking so well for? I can tell you: less than 30 per month. Sorry, but you're not going to get any significant traffic from the search engines by ranking high for that phrase. The reason you ranked high without doing much of anything is because there's actually almost no competition for that exact phrase. And that's because no one is bothering to SEO their pages for that phrase because almost no one is searching for that phrase.

    Seriously, don't let this bum you out. Take a lesson from it. Learn how to do keyword research to find the phrases in your niche that will help you when you rank for them. They take more work, but some of them are not that much harder to rank for. The first step is learning how to find those phrases.

    Although you are in good ranks but it won't be of any use for you from traffic point of view. If you want real traffic go for similar keywords with good search volume but less competition. You can use Adwords Search Keyword tool to come up with suggested keywords but make sure it is in low competition zone to increase your chances to come in good SERPs quickly.

    I should hope so! This has been building up slowly. I have secured work experience (I am only 16!) at a firm in the Summer. The are a 'new wave' journalism firm, and want podcasting, bloggong, and SEO done, so I am trying to get as much experience as possible!
