Subdomain or /Domain?

Hey guys,

I have a blog on a specific URL but I enjoy the URL domain enough that I feel it will be a solid IM URL as well.

I'm planning on creating a subdomain and installing Optimizepress on it. But I'm debating on whether I should create the domain between the following two:

subdomain.my-url.com

or

my-url.com/subdomain

Which one would be more viable?

Thanks in advance!
#or domain #subdomain

I'm always going for /subdomain but from what I read these isn't a big difference. One of my biggest ( if not the biggest ) competitor uses subdomains but if you ask me /subdomain is more user friendly.

sumdomain.yourdomain.com will give your new site a unique identity while yourdomain.com/subdomain looks like a page on your blog for users. In sense of SEO, I don't think that they will make a big difference. Yes subdomain.yourdomain.com would be better if you use keywords in it, as your keywords will appear at the beginning and keywords in URLs still play crucial role..

A domain is not a url.

      A subdomain is subdomain.domain.com, not domain.com/url

A subdomain is really for a complete and separate website in regard to
your main domain. It will require as much SEO as anywebsite.

It gets no love from any keyword stuffing as mentioned above.

If it's just a part of your main site, go with the url page.

If it's a completely different animal, then just get another domain
      and start a new site.

If you're talking about doing this solely to install Optimizepress, for sales pages and your sales funnel, then I don't think it really matters if you use a subdomain (op.main.com) or a directory (www.main.com/op). It's kind of a separate site. I'd just think about it from the user perspective and what makes the most sense for them. It's just not a big deal either way for this purpose.

As I know domain.com/addurl is more SEO friendly then addurl.domain.com in your site but addurl.domain.com shows more unique name and it's indicate different unique website.
