Page rank from 3 to n/a?!

Recently my page rank went from 3 to n/a? It doesn't seem as though my site is banned. What could cause this? Have asked on other forums, and researched, but can't find much. Also, one of my keywords got to the 2nd page in Google and now can't find it.

Its very frustating! Any ideas would be appreciated.

You ought to check your backlinks. Having backlinks in a "bad neighborhood" could have this effect on PR.

Or it might be a G hiccup so I would suggest that you observe this for some days but meanwhile keep checking your backlinks.

Thanks for the ideas. When you say "bad neighborhood", what types of sites are these? Not really sure what to look for. Still pretty new to this.

you can spend a lifetime trying to understand why Google does what it does. . . .

My advice would be to get back to doing what you know works . . . creating solid back links on related niche domains.

With that said, who cares about PR . . . traffic is what counts.

Check who you are linking out to, could be a spammy site. Also check to see if you've been hacked.

Checked my links, nothing looks spammy. Haven't been hacked that I can tell. Hopefully, its not a big deal. Will just work on my keywords, and backlinks and it will work out.

Exactly the same thing happened to my last night but I got back to my original PR3 after few hours. Don't know what affected your PR.

Some of my best performing sites have pagerank as n/a, and have always had pagerank n/a. I don't know why, and I don't care. They make money.

Thats mostly what I was worried about. As long as the site gets a ranking in SERP, thats all that matters.
