Profiles links has a great value if you do it manually as well as with new strategy. Try to use just authority and High PR websites for profile creation.

Profile backlinks have almost zero value.

Why not, instead, join a handful of high traffic, niche related forums and become a daily poster? You'll start to drive incredibly targeted traffic that tends to convert REALLY well.

100% agree. I think profile links are a bit spammy and in most cases, the easier it is to get the link, the spammier it is.

Post on forums and build up a decent reputation, then drop a few links. Don't post links too often as mods have really started to crack down on this.

I do not recommend using spam tactics or anything questionable such as profile backlinks. They could possibly work for a while, but it is not a good part of the formula of a recipe for long term success.

I would focus on getting higher quality related links to your website.

Profile backlinks make shitty backlinks look like a good option.

Anyone who says they are good for SEO is either an idiot or selling profile backlinks.

Totally agree. Profiles backlinks has a very small value, same as forum backlinks, because of so many OBL number etc...

I agree with Mike. Profile backlinks is a way of collecting spam links. Most people use softwares to carry out these process.

They are PR n/a and PR 0 links. Does not matter what the PR of the main domain is.

Profile links have been harming rankings on sites for about 2 years now. There was a time when you could rank for very uncompetitive terms with just profile links. That time is gone.

Waste of time and you'll mostly likely get your profile deleted anyway. Don't even bother with the "double pass" method.

Don't waste your time creating or outsourcing profile links for the purpose of trying to boost rankings, PR etc - you can get anywhere for 30 to a few thousand profile links for $5 on Fiverr - that should give you some idea of how valuable they are.

I would like to add a correction to your comment if you don't mind. Warrior (PR5) forum's profile link is do-follow and webicy (PR0) forum's profile link is no-follow.

It totally depends on forum owners...........

Forum profiles (the automated ones) are just like autmoated Blog Comments imho. You don't use them directly to your money site, but you can use them as additional links to your third tier links for instance.

...and it should not be your only source of backlinks. Nowadays you need diversity and quality more than anything else.

Do like the previous posts suggest; go and find some high pr, and preferable niche related forums, and post manually. Maybe you can even drive some targeted traffic and get some sales in the process!
