Some guy asking 150$ to help me with serp

a while ago i opened a thread about how to outrank wikipedia for my keyword.

my page is #2 result for my keyword, wikipedia is #1. its not a product but a information related website so beeing #1 matters in my case.

Here more info:
wikipedia.org/wiki/XXX
backlinks: 66 most pr0 and pr2
internal wikilinks: 130K pointing to that article

xxx.com (my website, an EMD)
backlinks: 80, mix of dofollow and nofollow, 90% higher then pr3
content: unique selfwritten, better indepth information website then the wiki article


Made a project on freelancer seeking for a seo expert who can help me with this.
Some guy is PM'ing me that he can get the job done for 150$.

Is this really possible or is he trying to scam me? He doesn't want to tell what techiques he will be using, he says that its going to be around 30 hours of work for him to get this done.

    He can not guarantee that, nobody can guarantee ranking in Google, as a lot of people around here know, Google like to shift things around making some wild changes.

    @larryboy03 - it's not really ranking, its de-ranking the wikipedia article somehow.

      I wouldn't bother if I was you, just a waste of money, start working on another keyword if you ask me. Keep adding backlinks to the page here and there to keep it safe at 2nd position.

        Yes, if you are on # 2 and If you want to become number one. That is possible and there are guys who can get it done with US$150 - That is not the issue here.

        The issue is, Your bidder did NOT say anything about the SEO METHODS which he is going to use. So, you have to be aware of him. Try to check out other guys.

        But do NOT judge with the amount he bidded. But judge with his answers and his reviews and experiences on previous projects and etc. I am sure, on FREELANCER.com you can check all these and easily filter better ones.

    Well a wonder happened today, i wake up hit my keyword in google and *Shazzam* i have somehow outranked wikipedia. Without hireing that guy.
    Apperently google finally saw that my content is way more detailed, deeper and much more informative then the shitty 200word wiki article.

    So i have faith in google again lol, my pr0 outranked a wikipedia pr6 page.
    I am really happy now yay!! :d
